Istanbul - Hagia Sophia
As my final career trip I went to Greece and Istanbul... I fell in love with Istanbul, the city, the amount of people in the streets, the bassar and Hagi Sophia!
I studied it in History of Architechture in my 3rd course! And I knew everithing about it. Me and my friends (architects) were total impressed!
It was a basilica, later a mosque and now a museum, expensive to visit but incredible!
The Church was dedicated to the Logos, the second person of the Holy Trinity, its dedication feast taking place on December 25, the anniversary of the incarnation of the Logos in Christ.
For almost 500 years the principal mosque of Istanbul, Hagia Sophia served as a model for many other Ottoman mosques.
