I booked a room in a flat in May from my home city and transferred the deposit.

Everything was fine! At my arrival my room was ready. I am currently writing from there :)

I would add that you have public transport (subway, bus station) but as I said before the location is perfect, you can go walking because everything is close to these flat, Ciudad Artes y las Ciencias, the center of the city, the beach...
