Well I am Polish and I live in Gdansk so I may tell you a few things. I am a student of medical university so I won't tell you much about university, but I can tell you a few things about citiy.
About prices : it's hard to say but everybody whose current currency is euro will think that poland is very very cheap. I even asked one student frm erasmus about it, and he said that it was the main reason to choose Poland for his studies. I don't know how much scholarship you will get but as I heard it should be enough :-)
People: when I first came study to Gdansk because I wasn't born here I was shocked to see how multinational this city is. Like everywhere you will find here mean people but the are also this one with big hearts:-) you won't feel lonely, sometimes I think there are more people from abroad than us :-)
Parties and night lfe: I am sure that you will find a lot of places for yourself. Gdansk has a few really god clubs, and there is also Sopot, city known of good parties, there is a street full of clubs. I am sure that everybody will find something.
I can only wish you good luck, I hope you'll enjoy your stay in Poland :-)

Hi Ola!! I read that you are studying Medicine in Gdansk so I'd like to ask you how is the faculty of Medicine in Gdansk and how are the professors!! In short do you advise me attend medicine in gdansk in erasmus?? Thank you very much

Hi
I am not studying Medicine, but lab medicine but I'll hope it will change, but I can tell you a few things about university.
To be honest at the beginning I wanted to go to Poznań (if you know this city) very much, but sudden change of heart lead me to Gdańsk and I don't regret.
What I heard that studying in Poland is really on a high level and it's not different here. Professors require a lot but there are some who believe that you are also a human. It's like everywhere else you'll find nice and mad teachers.
I know a lot of people who study medicine but not on Erasmus and watching them it requires a lot of work, I don't if it's the same for Erasmus students.
I advise you my university, people are very nice and I can guarantee you that you'll meet a lot of people not only attending Erasmus.
I wish you luck :)
