Where is the best accommodation?

Hi guys, I'll stay in Prague for the erasmus program since September 2017 and I'm looking for some advices about the accommodation.

I will attend the CULS, situated at Suchdol, and I'm a bit scared of the distance that exists between its dormitories and the city centre.

I saw that the University could be reached by bus from Dejvická, so maybe finding a a room (or a flat to be shared with someone else) in that district, or others one that are halfway, would be more appropriate.

I don't know, I'm very confused on what to choose and I hope that you will help me...it's ok to live "in" the university, but I also want to visit the city without spending hours on bus and metro  :)
