Hi,
I'm in Toulouse since beginning of february. The city is beautiful and very colorful. Unfortunately most of the people don't speak english (even if they can they are not willing to) so it's better to speak french - at least to know the basics. As for me, people here seem to be also quite reserved and a bit suspiciously polite (ca va ? ca va et toi? ca va can be heared all the time). Another thing is that between 14 and 18 all student restaurants are closed - so everyone eat at the same time (for me it was something new). The biggest plus so far is food (cheese and wine :) and weather (in Poland it's like 30 degrees colder now).
All the best
