I would like to know the law concerning custody after divorce. I was married to a Turkish man and we have two sons. Our divorce was doen here in the Untied States (he no longer lived with us or even spoke to us) and I have full custody of our sons. He also had the divorce made legal in Izmir but I have no copies (he was doing it to get remarried) so I have no idea if he would have rights to our sons if they were to visit and I would also like to know how to go about enforcing child support. He has never paid and money to help with our children. Thank you.

united states use anglo saxon law so in the USA after divorce man has to pay too much money for kids and he must pay it in any condition. law says him to pay the money doesnt matter if he robbes a bank. but in turkish law system that payment changes with the income of the man. so if that guy hasnt got any income then he doesnt have to pay any money. but you should firstly find out his income then open a case for him and judge will decide about the amount. but it will be less than american one. in this situation you cannot enforce him the verdict of american court. but by american law you can put him in jail if he goes back to the USA.
