I'm in the process of trying to figure out how much it would cost montly for my expenses in Barcelona. Everything is covered for except food...A girlfriend who was in the exchange program there said she needed at least $14,000 for the four months she was there. I find this exorberant. But I plan to do some traveling on the weekends to learn more about Spain and other parts of Europe. Is this why she needed $14,000? I had budgeted about $2,000 per month, would be sufficient for eating out, traveling? I appreciate your feedback.

Hello
I'm coming to Barcelona (University of Barcelona) in late august/ September time until January and i'm very confused. My university in England isn't too organized and i'm not sure whats the best thing to do with accommodation. I'm pretty nervous because i speak NO Spanish, so it would be cool to live with other international/English speaking people. Any advice would be super, or, just anyone who will be out at the same time it would be great to just chat.
Many thanks xxx

We rent a room in a shared flat in Sants-Monjuïc!!!
We are 3 catalan students (fine arts, sociology and biomedical science) and we would like to practice English more often! We can help you with catalan and spanish, of course.
The rent is 350 euro per month, internet and bills included.
Looking for someone ordered, clean and nice.
The apartment is quiet and well communicated, 20 minutes from las Ramblas (metro and bus), 10 minutes from Plaça Espanya and Monjuïc (you can go there walking).
The room is medium size and well illuminated (with natural light) and ventilated . It has a bed, a desk and a big wardrobe.
If you are interested contact with us!
