Bedbug issues!!

Hi all, as you all know it is very difficult to get decent accomodation ,and there are many other surprises, for example, I had to buy a bed,mattress,desk,chair,light etc.

There is NO furniture in the communal room so once again we had to buy everything,even the kitchen table!

But worst of all is that there are definite signs of BEDBUGS in the Kot!

The landlord was supposed to clean the Kots before we moved in,but they were filthy and we spent hours cleaning them,then we spotted some bed bugs and eggs!

Have we any comeback? we have paid a deposit and a months rent in advance and have just moved in today, we found it really difficult to get accomodation in the first place,but DO NOT want to live in an infested Kot.

The landlord did not clean the place as he had promised so I doubt he will be prepared to hire in exterminators for the bed bugs,altough we will try to get him to do something.

We are now faced with the problem of our new furniture and all of our clothes and other items becoming infested.

Any one who can give us some guidence as to what to do?
