Hi everybody!
I'm Carlos, from Barcelona. I'm studying Environmental Science. Next year (at least the first semester, but I hope they'll let me continue for the second one too) I'm going to the University of Helsinki, to do my degree final project doing a "lab training", and also some subjects.
I can't wait to meeting new people, going out, travelling... we'll have to do things to avoid thinking of the cold, the few light hours and the expensive prices! xD, so let's talk and know each other here!

if i were you Marta, i chose spring semester, that's only way to avoid from cold and long nights .. you can also participate many celebrations and festivals ..anyway it's up to you:)

Carlos, be cool man, i see, you'r really impation about that Erasmus stuff:) In erasmus parties i know , we'll all be together, you will enough time..
THe problem is accomodation.. what you guys are planning ?

As ı looked, the rents for a single room with shared bathroom is about 500 € in Helsinki. You can look at the Aalto University student union for more..

Hey !! I'm also going to Heslinki next year in erasmus but for studying law in the third year, I had the same choice to make than you Marta and chosed the second semester because was afraid of coming back in france with the lack of the first semester and also beacause we have to take only 5 semester on the 6 in order to get the license so if everything goes well my erasmus will sounds so good !!! For housing I was thinking about sharing a flat with other students which could be cool for the lower price and ofr meeting people ! Can't wait too :D !!

Exchange student apply for housing from the link above. The deadline is 15 May. You apply from the web site and then after they get the list which inform you as a erasmus exchange student officially they offer you a house.
