Hey guys, so I am just finishing my Erasmus year in Catania and I have been living in an appartment with six italian girls who are all lovely and very friendly, and it is because of them that my italian has improved so greatly. The landlady is wonderful, she spent an Erasmus year in Leeds herself and is trustworthy and very helpful. I leave on the 1st of June and my room wll be available from then, it has a single bed, a comfortable armchair, a large wardrobe and desk, a bedside table, a mirror, shelves, a whiteboard, and leads onto the veranda. It is next to the kitchen which is pretty and clean, with plenty of fridge and cupboard space for everyone. It also has a kettle, which is a rare find here! There are two lovely bathrooms, and there is even a piano! An old one...with candle holders, but still useable! The other girls here are all students and are fun and welcoming. The apartment is on Via Verona 40, which is about a 15 minute walk from the centre...it is a minute away from two supermarkets, various bakeries, cafes, shops and restarants. It is also very safe, there is a portiere all day and it is extremely secure. I have been very happy here and would reccomend it to anyone, even just to come here for a month in June to learn italian and soak up the sun! It costs 250 a month and everything is included in that, there is a washing machine and great internet connection, and a phone for incoming calls.
