Hello,
I will be an Erasmus student in Lyon and I have some doubts for it. I want to take this experience for travelling, improving my language and getting to know new cultures, new people. There is an impression everybody parties in Erasmus. But I really hate parties, drugs etc. I drink alcohol, but not too much and I'm afraid all of these will cause me being alone. And also my school prolong for one year, it's obvious.
So what do you think? Do you still advice me to go? I really need your advices.
Thanks.

Hi Maria,
I'm also going to be in Lyon next semester. I would definitely still tell you go because the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. For me personally, while the nightlife interests me, that's not the main reason I want to go. There's so much else to explore and discover aside from partying.

Hi Maria,
I'll also be going to Lyon for the second semester of the following year and just as you I do not enjoy having a 24/7 extreme nightlife. I really don't think you need to worry, as there will be lots of foreign exchange students that most definitely will look for the same things as you *and me* *and Kurt apparently!* :))
I mean, you can go partying in your hometown every weekend, it's really not that big of a difference in another country (besides perhaps the name of the drinks and the songs they dance to haha).
But all in all, I for sure don't think that 10 out of 10 Erasmus students will participate actively only in parties and 'edgy' activities. We're there for a cultural reason after all.
Kisses,
Rada

Hi Maria!
Sometimes I make the same thoughts as you, same doubts and fears...But despite everything I'm going to be in Lyon the entire year! We have to think positive...I really hope to meet people because I don't know anyone that comes in Erasmus with me... I believed that we're going to find also people with a similar personality as us and this year will be fantastic! :)
