Blaarmeersen is a large park with sports facilities west of the city center. It can easily be reached by a number of bus lines from the city center and the main railway station. In winter it's pretty calm, but during spring and summer people of all ages flock here. They come for a cooling swim in the artificial lake, and to soak up some sun on its large sandy beach. There's also a camping site, a playground, a couple of playing field, a sports hall, a cycling hall and even a mini golf area. The best place though, is the lookout tower on top of the hill, which offers a magnificent view over the city and far beyond on sunny days.

It's a stitched panorama of 6 images I took in portrait mode (ie. standing). I first edited the .nef files separately to bring back and balance out the details in the shadows and highlights. Then I stitched the images together in Photoshop and did a little enhancing (contrast, saturation). The key is to keep the horizon on the same place in all the pictures :-)
