Hello everyone,
I'll be studying in Nijmegen for a year. I was orginally born in Poland then I moved to England when I was 13.
I currently study Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University. I'm very excited about the Erasmus programme and I hope to meet many cool people from different countries and learn about their cultures and lifestyles, including Dutch lifestyle :)
The forums for the 2013/2014 are quite empty at the moment but I'm sure this will change in the near future.
Don't hesistate to message me or add me on facebook :)

Hey Lorenzo,
I highly recommend arriving in Nijmegen in mid-August if possible just because you get more time to settle down and get to know people you're going to live with :)

Hi,
I'm Laura from Barcelona (Spain) and I'm studying Psychology. I'll be in Nijmegen for a semester (from february to june or july) in 2013/2014.
Does anyone know the best way to find accommodation in Nijmegen? Thanks!
Maciej Matt Écrit il y a 11 ans
Hey!
I think it's too early to look for courses for the 13/14 academic year. They'll update their websites in a few weeks time though.
And in terms of accomodation - when you'll be filling your online application for Radboud University, they will ask you whether you need help with finding accomodation. Pick 'Yes' and they'll put you in one of their student complexes with other exchange students :)

Thanks a lot for the info Matt.
Do you know when it is the deadline to send everything?
Maciej Matt Écrit il y a 11 ans
I think it's 15th of April to sort out the Erasmus funding. You'll have to fill in about 5 different documets and then your current university will pass it to the European Union or something like that.
I'm still waiting for those documents and it gets a little bit panicky because the deadline is in 2 weeks time now haha!

I thought it was in June! I am so stressed right now. I hope I can everything solved this week then.
Btw, I think I will arrive in August too. We can meet there and meet each other if you like ( well, if I can get all the documents on time...)
Thanks a lot Matt ^^

It might be different for your university though! My university told me it's 15th of April. I'm attaching a screeshot of the form I have to fill just to prove it :O
I would contact your universities as soon as possible just to make sure.
And yeah mid-August is the best date to arrive because there is a welcoming week at Radboud starting on the 18th of August. I'll be definetely arriving on the 14th or 15th just to get to know all of you beautiful pepople!!
Maciej Matt Écrit il y a 11 ans
lol OK ignore me. I just realised you were right.
The deadline to send all your documents is in June.
The erasmus funding form I just showed you is a different thing. Sorry for making you feel stressed haha!

Friends,
looking to see you all.
I'm Aiuna, I will be in Nijmeneg from september to february. I study linguistics at Saint-Petersburg University.
Matt, it's quite interesting to know about Dutch lifestile.
Lorenzo, sounds nice to help with the flat. Why do you prefer to find the place by yourself than to let it to the International Office?
Wish all good luck with deadlines=)

Hi, my name is Francisco Mendonça, i'm portuguese and ill be going to Nijmejen in September to study managment at HAN.
I'll be staying there for a year through the erasmus program. My university of origin is Universidade Católica Portuguesa-Porto.
I'm still looking for a place to stay, and I have preference for a student house so that I can get in contact with more students. So any advise on housing is much apreciated.
