It is almost impossible to get an apartment from the city center. Apartments are very expensive there, so I would suggest sharing an apartment. Food is not free for university students and it costs 2-3euros per meal. Normally also food is very expensive in Finland. The climate is before october pretty beautiful but after october it gets very dark and cold.
But I have to admit that the university has very high quality education and it is also a very respected university globally too.
I hope this helps you!
