Save money!, if you'd like to jnow which are the cheapest places where to buy food to survive in the capital of Belgium or all around the country, then the options are :
1. lidl & carrefour ( as in Spain they are the two most inexpensive supermarkets, both have interest products and offers that you should check ), one thing carrefour express in the city will be always more expensive, so try to find the GB line of carrefour( there is next to la bourse in Brussels)
2. Colryudt, it's a chain supermarket from Nerdelands, pretty in handy and cheap when you want to buy more in quantity of the same product, they have interesting discounts.
3. The markets, especially the midi market( close to gare du midi) on sundays, definitly something to check out, it's a must! they have really good deals, fresh meat& fish ( which is usually expensive) and vegetables with reasonable prices.
So far, the best options, eat & cook at the best price in Brussels and Belgium!
