What is it like to live in Santiago? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The hostoric center is the most convenient to obtain more for less money.
I recommend, the sectors of Santiago Centro, Mapocho, Providencia, but the best from outside the Capital, the South of Chile and the sectors of the countryside.

Is the nightlife good in Santiago? Where is good to go?

Bellavista, but the problem is its popularity and the insecurity of the sector

What advice would you give future students heading to Santiago?

Es una ciudad grande con todos los hombres de las grandes ciudades, y tambien todas las ventajas. Esto es latinoamérica, y aca en Santiago para recorrer la ciudad se deben tener precauciones de horario y lugar. En general es seguro, pero hay casos y como ahora que comentan los "ghettos" donde para cambiar los códigos locales.
