What is it like to live in Mostar? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Life in Mostar is rather decent, and from my experience it's very similar to life in a of smaller South European cities, even though the standard of living may be lower. Public transport is not that good though.

What is the student lifestyle like in Mostar?

Students mostly go out in 'designated' student coffee shops and clubs.

How much does it cost to live in Mostar?

Life in Mostar is rather cheap, and even with limited funds a student may have it's easy to cover everything from rent, any unversity expenses to a good time with friends.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Mostar? Is there any advice you can give?

Finding accomodation is not too difficult or expensive, provided students are willing to think outside of the box.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is unlike anywhere else, and my favorite dish is one that may be considered a national dish of Bosnia and Herzegovina - cevapi.

What places would you recommend visiting in Mostar?

The old bridge is a must, as is the entire old city. Relaxing next to he river on a sunny day or having a walk through the old city is a great way to spend some time.

Is it good to eat out in Mostar? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are many different places with a lot of different types of cuisine, and this will most likely depend on personal taste. It's just the matter of going out and trying.

Is the nightlife good in Mostar? Where is good to go?

Night life in Mostar is nothing special, but a good time may be had with friends in a lot of places. There is something for everybody.

What advice would you give future students heading to Mostar?

Living in Mostar is a good way to learn more about the local culture and the way of thinking - not just in Herzegovina but most of the Balkans. It's definitely a unique experience.
