Why did you choose to go to Ghent, Belgium?

Because is in the Center of EU. You can go everywhere with the Bus and it's cheap!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months. About 700€-900€ monthly.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ghent?

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ghent to other students?

Yes of course. It's a nice school with a good level.

What is the food like?

Not that special, "European". The Waffel and French Fries are special, you should tried them!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ghent?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Ghent?

About 700€ per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes there are language courses. But I still don't get the language.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ghent from your city?

Get a bike! Even if you live at the Dampoort Station or take the Bus.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ghent?

Heuvelpoort and the city center.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Ghent?

Just fries stores. And all the ribs you can eat.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The castle.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ghent in the future?

It's fun. nice experience. Try all the diffrent beers, they are delicious! They have around 500-600 different types of beer.
