What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's so nice living in Cairo as it's the capital of Egypt so it's very crowd and has lots of traffic jam. and i recommend that anyone will have the ability to adopt to live in Cairo .
it is mixed city with its oriental stuff back to 300 years ago with the Islamic monuments and also with very modernize places as well..

What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?

it's the same as everywhere, going to school, or universities , Taking courses as special lessons and so on etc..

How much does it cost to live in Cairo?

it depends like what do you need exactly to satisfy yourself. but generally life in EGYPT is not that expensive . as i said it depends for example, if you wanna buy anything BRAND like Zara "clothes" then yea you might find it expensive according to Egyptian economy but it depends from person to another .. according to their salaries or the standard of each other's living.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?

no no it's easy to have accommodation here either in flats you can rent it's from 1500 to 2000 pounds per month.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

ummm, we have lots indeed :) but; the most popular one here in the morning when you wanna have your breakfast meal then it's Beans, Jam, olive, cheese, Milk, Eggs and something called "Falafel " so you can choose :D any of these. plus we're drinking after breakfast as it's Egyptian habit , Either Tea or Coffee :) or even Hot mint :) also depends from person to another. also we have Pop dish called "Koshary" it's a mixed dish, like Rice,Salade,Onion,lentil and humus :).

What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?

umm, Egyptian Museum for sure , Cairo big Tower , also taking ship to be in the Nile river, umm, The Zoo :) it's very amazing .. Also to place Called Al-Azhar Park it is amazing green land place . also to place called "Khan EL khalily" it's Touristic historical place, if you can also you can visit Pyramids for sure it's in Giza but Giza and Cairo are so near each other actually in Egypt we don't consider Giza and Cairo are separated governorates .Also if you anna go for shopping at any malls we have the two amazing malls ever they are globally ranking in the world first of all " city Stars commercial mall and Mall Of Arabia" whatever you need you can find anything and everything:) so perfect!!:)

Is it good to eat out in Cairo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yes it is, we have lots of fast food shops here like KFC,MacDonald's so whatever you need you can find so easily .

Is the nightlife good in Cairo? Where is good to go?

sureeeee it's amazing specially when your enjoying the sweet weather at any Cornish which is located near by the Nile River it's wow view very outstanding. and there are lots of places to visit like again at malls or hotels cafes , or eve at any high class cafe

What advice would you give future students heading to Cairo?

first of all, Egyptian people are so friendly and so generous so, my advise for students who want to study and live here is to take everything easy and never feel lonely because you will never feel lonely nor alone once you have any Egyptian friend asking them for anything you need, then Make sure they will make it for you so well. just Enjoy here EGYPT is a very big country and Historical as well. so we have history and Civilization:)
