The introduction

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all doing just fine.

Now I want to tell you about this beans recipe and how to prepare it. you know, this time I want to tell you about these two recipes made from beans and it’s really delicious if you prepare them properly. I mean, this is just beans, right? However, nothing can be greater or something like that. Many people just don’t appreciate beans, I guess, they know those French beans, which are green beans and they want to have them in their dishes, and, well, it’s not bad or something, I’m not saying that, however, I really don’t want to forget about red beans and how tasty they are. You know , they usually use red beans in winter in Georgia, or , at least, that’s how it was in my home and around, though people started using them the whole year round, too. And  I’m really glad about it, because it’s really good to eat red beans and everyone should eat them once in a while. However, they don’t use red beans in Georgia as they use them in Mexico , because I know some of their dishes and they just use red beans in everything, I guess.

I really like beans, well, it’s kind of a plant, that you can use in many ways and all the way through, they become really delicious. However you are preparing them, they are always tasty, if you ask me.

Anyways, this other day I decided to have some beans cooked and then prepared two dishes with them, because they were kind of plenty and I could cook all of them and make two dishes out of one, if you want to know the truth. It was a good idea then, because some like one dish and some like the other and I thought, that I would prepare both, so that everyone could enjoy eating some beans. Besides, beans are really good source of proteins and they don’t have much calories and they are good for our body, in general. So that, every one should eat them once in a while, though I don’t recommend eating them a lot in a day or something like that, because then you will feel discomfort in your stomach and you will be like bloating and stuff like that.

Well, I had these white and red coloured beans and I guess, it was 1 kilogramme or something like that, so that it was plenty, as I’ve already mentioned, and I put them into a bowl and filled it with water and just left them like that to soak for some time, while I was shopping in a supermarket. It was something about 2 hours that it was being soaked in the water and, well, it was kind of enough, I guess. Of course, it’s better to have them soaked for a night or so, well, at least, that’s what they say, however, I hadn’t had decided to prepare them that time, so that I just soaked them when I decided to have beans’ dishes prepared, you know, I mean, you don’t really know if you want to have something the day before, right?! That’s just stupid, because sometimes you just get this feeling of wanting something and then you just go and get it. that’s why it’s great to have those prepared food and dishes sold in large supermarkets and diners. They have many customers who would like to have some already prepared dishes and some of them just eat them on the road and some of them take them home and eat them there or some buy those stuff for a dinner party or stuff like that, you know, so that they can have delicious dishes on the table and not waste time on preparing them. That’s always a great idea, I guess, because when you are preparing , you may never know, whether that dish will be good or not, and when you buy the prepared stuff, you already know, that they will be good, otherwise, they just don’t let that dish be on the shelf of the supermarket, if you want to know the truth.

The preparation process

So, when I returned home after some shopping, I saw my soaked beans and decided, that they were kind of ready and I would start cooking them. Well, first of all, I washed them and then I had some water added to the saucepan and put those beans in it so that the water would cover them.  Well, you need to boil the water and then spill it out, that’s how I know to prepare beans, however, some people don’t do that and they just pour the whole water in the saucepan, so that it’s filled, and they just cook those beans that way. I don’t know, I just happen to cook beans this way and that’s how I recommend you to do it, too, I guess. So, when the water boils, you spill it out and pour some new water into the saucepan and fill it and let the water boil again. It needs much time to boil the water, however, I have this little trick of mine, which I usually do in that kind of situations _ I boil some water into a kettle or electric kettle and when the water boils, I pour it into the saucepan , so that it will boil quickly then.

Now that the water is boiling, we can start preparing some other things, if you want to know the truth. Well, you may ask, what else could we do, and what those other things are. They are not much, of course, it’s just a simple dish. So, you don’t really have to prepare many things.

There are these fresh coriander and onions and some spices, that you can add to the dish or you can just skip them, it’s really up to you, however, they usually have coriander and onions in this dish. And I just love spices in my dishes, so that, I usually have plenty of them in my dishes. Well, to be honest, there is much difference between spiced beans and without them, so trust me, and add some spices to your dish, too, they will make it really delicious! I usually have some ground coriander and thyme and red pepper in my beans dish, however, you can add some other spices, too, whichever you like.

Well, if you want to have some great beans there is this one thing, that you might want to do, I mean, it’s like a secret one and many people don’t know about it, if you ask me and that’s why the beans come out not that delicious for them, however, when I was searching for the recipes, there was this one that I was intrigued by and when I read it I realized what was missing from my beans’ dish. So, you have to kind of roast the beans and then put them back to their stock and that’s how the dish becomes very delicious! It’s kind of unnecessary thing, you may think however, that’s what gives the dish its best taste and that’s what iis the most important part in preparing the dish, so that the next time you are going to prepare some beans, remember what I have written here and try that method, and, trust me, you won’t regret it, moreover, you will never skip that part while preparing the beans. It’s really important how you roast them, too, because if you just roast them, they will have different taste, than if you roast them with some other things. Well, usually I chop the onions and roast them on a frying pan until they are golden brownish and then I add some salt and other spices, like paprika and coriander and thyme and things like that and then add some beans to them and cook them together for some time. You know, you should cook those onions pretty well, because the last time I didn’t cook them enough and they were like crispy or something like that and it was pretty annoying for me. Well, maybe some people like those crispy onions, but I don’t and I don’t like their taste when they are raw, too, so that I really like them cooked very well.

So , that’s this little trick that you should learn about and do it when preparing beans if you want them to be really delicious, however, you can even skip that part and not care about that and just boil the beans and add some onions and spices and season it and that will be it. I’m not saying, that you won’t prepare some really delicious beans without roasting them on a pan and things like that.

Well, you know, some people like beans to be not thick or something, I mean, some people like the stock to be not that thick and they like to eat the beans alone or just stock or something. However, there are people, who like to eat them when the stock is kind of thick or maybe even really thick. I’m more of this kind and I like the beans dish to be kind of thick, so that it’s more like one mass, you know. well, my father likes to eat the beans alone when it’s halfway cooked or something like that, I mean, when the beans are still whole and not overcooked or something like that, so that he can eat them when they are kind of cooked, and, well, they are pretty tasty then, too, and they are even more tasty if they are seasoned with salt, however, it’s said, that you should season the dishes at the end of their cooking, but I still like to season them with a little bit of salt at the beginning or in the halfway of cooking, because I like when the dish has some seasoning when I taste it. it’s like the dish is more tasty that way and I just like that.  

So, if you want to have beans dish with stock that’s how you prepare it, I mean, I have prepared it in many ways and somehow it’s like it’s always different when I prepare it and I’m pretty surprised how people get that beans’ dish the same every time. However, I usually don’t prepare anything the same way anytime so that I just get different beans’ dish every time, I guess.
