My name is Beata, I'm 25 years old, I work in a bank. Currently I'm looking for a flatmate starting from February 2012.

The flat is located in Warsaw, Poland, in the district of Praga that is named Gocław. It's a very nice location, right next to the Wisła river, safe area, full of blocks, there are stores, ATMs, restaurants and other useful places in the nearby. It's also very green, a lot of bike paths in the area. Public transport is very well developed here in Warsaw, also in Gocław of course. There are many buses (also night buses) that can take you to the center of Warsaw in 15-30 minutes (it depends on the hours).

The flat is located in a 9-floors block, on the 2nd floor. It is very big and spacious. There are 3 rooms in the flat (well to be honest there are 2 more rooms, but they are locked by the owner - now they're a storage for some furniture), the living area is around 60m2. In the flat there is a huge living room (with enormous couch, chairs, table and a tv), an awesome balcony (covered), toilet and a bathroom (with a bathtub, but it's better to use it as a shower, since the water is expensive), kitchen (very big, with electrical cooker and oven, microwave, toaster). My room is quite far from yours, so we basically don't hear each other when we're in our rooms ;)

The room for rent is not very big, it's a typical bedroom - most of the room is taken by the huge double bed. There is also a big closet covered with mirrors and some shelves. You have a window with a view on the Siekierkowski bridge, but to get to the window, you have to walk on your bed - some may consider this a disadvantage, but I think that if you treat your room as a place to relax and sleep, this place is perfect. If you need a desk to study or write papers and so on, you can always use the living room or the kitchen. There is a wireless Internet in the flat and the cable TV.

During the day I'm not home, since I work from 9:00 to 17:00, and hardly ever I go back home right after work, so you can make sure you will have some peace of mind ;) And even if I'm there, I won't disturb - I also enjoy spending time in my own room. Oh, maybe something about me - I'm a really nice and funny (that's what people say) person, I like to party, but I also like to get lazy from time to time. I love watching movies (you will see my DVD collection in the living room ;)), I'm very sociable, I'm also part of the CouchSurfing community (haven't hosted anyone though - yet!). I speak English and Polish, also some basics of German.

I'm looking for a nice, easy-going person, preferably a girl (I don't mind boys at all, but the landlord may resist...), someone who is clean and not messy, respects the rules of living together (not using other person's things without a permission, cleaning the general mess after yourself and so on - I'm not a cleaning freak though, don't worry ;)), someone considerate, funny and generally cool. If you cannot watch the flat in person, we can Skype.

The price of the room is 1000 PLN (approximately 230 EUR) + the costs that we calculate every month - it's around 200 PLN per person (around 45 EUR) - the costs include the electricity, water and Internet. The room is free since the 1st of February until the end of May 2012 (my contract with the landlord ends by the end of May, but if you need an additional month to stay, I'm sure it's not a problem. I have a plan to move out to my own flat in June, but it's not certain yet). There is a warranty (in Polish it's called "kaucja") that has to be paid to the landlord - 375 PLN (approximately 85 EUR).

If you need any additional information, don't hesitate to contact me - I will reply as soon as possible, but it will be in the evenings because of my work. If you're in Warsaw, we can meet so that you can see the room. My email is [email protected]

Cheers,
Beata

Hi,

I will be in Warsaw from end of February till end of June and am interested in sharing this flat. Please let me know about the current status.
Thanks, enjoy your day.Kerem

hi Beata,

I am a slovak student and I am going to stay in Warsaw from 11th of february until the and of May. I like the description of your flat and I wonder weather it would be possible to rent a room to two persons, because I am going to stay in warsaw with my schoolmate and we would like to live together. so it would be nice if its possible to share the room.( of course, we are willing to pay more for the room because there would be two of us)  we are booth girls and going to study at Academy of fine arts ( ASP Warszawa )  our field of study is restoration. I think we are responsible, sociable and nice persons  so there will not be any problem to live with us. you have writen, that in the room is one huge double bed so there would not be a problem for us to share the bed.

if you are interested in and you would like to know something else about us, please write us at: [email protected]

thanks

best regards

Hi guys!

So the room is still available. I spoke to the landlord and he agreed to lower the price, so now it's 750 PLN per month + the bills (like before). If anyone is interested, please let me know [email protected]. It's really urgent!

Cheers,

Beata

I've already found a flatmate, thank you all for your messages and good luck with looking for a flat!

x, Beata
