What is it like to live in Vilnius? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I like Vilnius, Id love it more with sunny weather and smily people)) hihi It's just a different world of things, as the life here influenced by the past, post-Socialist atmosphere reigns here) but sure, there are good features, and if you communicate only with foregners, Im sure, you wouldnt face it!)

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

About 300-400 eu per month, mb. It depends, what do you want to do and what kind of activities you prefer)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vilnius? Is there any advice you can give?

You may get wonderful room in the center but the get ready to pay about 200-250 eu. When the price for the whole appart 20-25 min far from the down town is 100 eu. without utilities.
try to check alio.lt, aruodas.lt, edomus.lt, here you may find cheaper variants, than group in fb called "vilnius appartment" may recommend. Be ready, people speak Lithuanian and Russian here and only young generation speaks English. So, get some friends, who may help you to talk to the owners!)

Is it good to eat out in Vilnius? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

The food is delicious and super cheap, compare to EU countries. You may get a discount card, so every time you visit places as "Cili pizza" or "Charlie Pizza", the price is reduced for 10-15%. Lithuanian tradition food is kind of "heavy", but still, you shold try soup, serving in bread) Beer is delicios and cheap! I recommend Šnekutis alaus bar)

What advice would you give future students heading to Vilnius?

Come visit Vilnius! But get ready to face bad bad weather)) hihih, i guess this is the main minuse) Sometimes you will be shocked by some things, as people's attitude) But I guess, you would enjoy it very much, as student life developed and there are many interesting and fascinating activities, some of them even for free) Just relax and enjoy!) an a half of semester is enough)
