What is it like to live in Vilnius? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Vilnius is very old and a beautiful city. 100% you must visit it! The old town is just fabulous, lot of little streets where you can discover good restaurants, boutique shops etc. I would go to see it mid-June then nature is alive and it's not too hot.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?

Crazy as in all over the world.

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

It depends on how rich you are. If you want to live in the heart of Vilnius, the city center or old town, you'd probably spend around 600 eur for apartment (comparing to other city's it's not to much) plus bills, food etc. in total it would be around 1000 eur, but if you're on a budget I'd say 500 eur should be enough for everything.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vilnius? Is there any advice you can give?

Again depends how picky you are. It's not too hard, but if you looking for a good place to live, I'd say it will take you to find it around a month.

Go to aroudas, it's the main website for renting, selling, buying properties.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Well... If you're Italian or French you'll probably hate it here. But we are starting to have lots of small but good places to eat.

My favorite food would be good burger, seafood, steak, all food made with love.

What places would you recommend visiting in Vilnius?

Go around old town, you'll find everything you want to find.

For shopping I'd recommend Ozas or Akropolis shopping centers.

Is it good to eat out in Vilnius? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

For good burgers and beer, I'd try Burger Geek, it's at Ozas shopping center (address Ozo g. 18, Vilnius; PC "OZAS", (-I floor)

If you more into fine dining, I'd say Rene (address: Antokolskio g. 13, Vilnius)

But food is very personal thing, so you have to discover your own place.

Is the nightlife good in Vilnius? Where is good to go?

Friday and Satuday night's are the night's to go out.

Islandijos str. is the main bars street so go there and you'll find the place. Or you can go to each one for one drink, as we do.

What advice would you give future students heading to Vilnius?

Be open minded.

Give people second chance.
