Why did you choose to go to Vilnius, Lithuania?

Because I studied Russian and Lithuanian and I thought that it would have been the best country in Europe to go deeper in these two languages.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

4 months, I received 700 euro from Erasmus+ programme.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?

You study but also have a lot of parties, a lot of fun. People are nice and kind and it is not a problem to create new friendship, especially if you live in one of the dorms.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vilnius to other students?

Yes, of course!

What is the food like?

It is a little bit fat and heavy, but delicious as well. Since Vilnius is a capital you can still find something you would like to eat, if you don't like traditional food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vilnius?

No, I stay in a dormitory and I pay 58 euro per month.

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

Not much, you can easily live with 150 euro per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

No, it is not an easy language but everyone speak English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vilnius from your city?

Airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vilnius?

At loftas, Snekutis or Friday 13.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vilnius?

Dvaras.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are many museums, I suggest the Genocide Museum.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vilnius in the future?

Be open-minded and kind and you will receive the same!
