What is it like to live in Sofia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I like living in Sofia - it's a big city with a lot of appearances. The cultural style is unique, there are a lot of amazing people ready to help. I would recommend it.
The subway is very convenient and nice and there is free wifi almost everywhere.
One of the the few bad things in Sofia is the Government.

What is the student lifestyle like in Sofia?

There is a small neighbourhood called "Student city" - it's different than the other parts of Sofia. Most of the students live there, I also lived there for 4 years. There are a lot of cheap and nice places for eating, bars and discos but I personally prefer the bars in the city center.

How much does it cost to live in Sofia?

It depends on your lifestyle and if you are a student. If you live in the dormitories in the Student city you can live good a whole month with 150 euro.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Sofia? Is there any advice you can give?

I don't think it is difficult, there are a lot of places all around the city but you have to be careful because some of the brokers are awful. There are a lot of sites as well.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is amazing. You will be very pleased. I prefer vegetarian dishes but there a lot of meat stuff as well.

What places would you recommend visiting in Sofia?

The cathedral "Alexander Nevski", archaeological digs, Sofia University, National Palace of Culture, Eagle's bridge, Ariana lake, Borisovata garden, some museums, the National Theatre, Vitosha mountain and others....

Is it good to eat out in Sofia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's very good to eat out in Sofia almost everywhere, I recommend it. There are a lot of pizza places, traditional kitchen, eastern kitchen, beer houses - my favourite one is Ale house, where "live beer" is served.

Is the nightlife good in Sofia? Where is good to go?

It is very good, there are lot of different places and a lot of parties. There are a lot of events every night.

What advice would you give future students headed to Sofia?

Well you can do it guys, it will be very interesting and you will have a good time.
