What is it like to live in São Paulo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
São Paulo is a city of chaos. It is a great city to live in, but at the same time living here for a lot of time is pretty overwhelming. I definitley recommend São Paulo as an erasmus experience
What is the student lifestyle like in São Paulo?
Lot of partys, lot of activities and lot university sports related activities.
Depends a lot on which university you study, but in general the environment is great! Although I recomend the University of São Paulo
How much does it cost to live in São Paulo?
It is one of the most expensive cities in Latin America, but you can always find great discounts, free cultural stuff to do, etc. Living on a budget is really easy here too.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in São Paulo? Is there any advice you can give?
São Paulo is a big city. There is always someplace to rent, finding cheap places is one of the chalenges, rent isn't kind. But I wouldn't say it is hard to find places to stay. As the "where" part, depends on the school you are attending really.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can find anything. Really, everything you may want. I love trying cheap new places and finding good stuff to eat.

Just explore!
You will find everything. But a great thing about SP is the fresh fruit option you can find an amazing variety of juices almost everywhere. Enjoy that!
Is the nightlife good in São Paulo? Where is good to go?
Rua Augusta, where u can find bars and nightclubs - cheap!
Rua Cardeal - cheap cheap bars, called botecos
And university parties - there are always many options to choose from
What advice would you give future students heading to São Paulo?
It is a great city. Just be safe at night, be patient with traffic and public transportation and don't loose sight of your belongings.
Other than that, São Paulo is a great city with amazing people from all over the world.

Hola Jimena, que bueno todo lo que dices de Sao Paulo, te cuento para ver si quizá me puedas ayudar con alguna referencia, yo me iré para Sao Paulo desde enero y no se como puedo conseguir roomates, habitaciones o quizá residencias de estudiantes, yo me iré para hacer practicas profesionales en un rest. y estoy algo preocupada, porque estando lejos es difícil sabes... espero pueda contar con tu respuesta, un SALUDO.
Hola Danitza, que tal? Te recomiendo que busques en facebook grupos de alquiler. Te confeso que por aca no es tan facil conseguir roomates sin conocer a nadie. Pero busca en internet, agencias inmobiliarias y residencias universitarias, que aca se llaman pensões y tienen un estilo medio diferente. Espero haberte ayudado, cualquier cosa, pregutame!
