Why did you choose to go to San Jose, Costa Rica?

I choose San Jose, because when I lived in USA everybody said that "Costa Rica is the Switzerland of America"

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I dont have scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in San Jose?

I am studing an MBA, so I have meet a lot of mature people, nevertheless the young people like me is really friendly and partyhard.

Would you recommend the city and the University of San Jose to other students?

Yes for sure.

What is the food like?

The traditional food is not so good, but here is a lot of american franchises that could help us with that.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in San Jose?

Is not difficult to find a place to live, all the time in the street you can see papers with rentals post, room sharing, and that kind of staff..

How much does it cost to live in San Jose?

Like $800 per month per person, that even includes the food and the bus transportation.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, the University has courses to improve the language, but everybody in here speak english and spanish very well.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to San Jose from your city?

I live in the capital, so I dont have to travel to anywhere, nevertheless, when is late at night I use to call an Uber to take me home.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in San Jose?

There is a place, a very nice place, in Escazu, its called ITSCAZU, is very cool, has many discos and bars.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in San Jose?

When you come, you should go to Tacobar for a breakfast, and to Mizza Luna for a lunch and to PF Changs for a dinner.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

A LOT OF, here you wil find zoos, musseums, open and green places, stadiums, parks, volcanos, mountains, beaches, the truth is that here is really beautiful!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to San Jose in the future?

You have to bring a lot of money to stay here, cuz the live is really expensive.
