not bad if you are flexible: always have a plan B and C planned
How much does it cost to live in Rome?
Its an avrage cost compared to other European cities, both for rent and food. Buy your food at your local market and it should be cheaper than supermarkets for fresh produce.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rome? Is there any advice you can give?
Make sure you visit the place before you rent.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
good gelato is everywhere, pizza too and try rustic trattorie restaurants to know what 'Italian Granma' food is really like. But stay away from touristy places.
What places would you recommend visiting in Rome?
Auditorium, Maxxi, Trastevere, all of the touristy places. Get lost and you will find a million nice places
Is it good to eat out in Rome? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, local tavola calda's are fantastic if you do not wish to cook. Restourants can be a little expensive (Pasta dishes can cost up to 20E)
What advice would you give future students heading to Rome?
Burocracy in Italy is tricky but necessary, make sure you have somebody that speaks fluent italian that can help you frequently. Most italians speak basic english and will be willing to help, but do not expect fluent english even from Professors.
