What is it like to live in Rome? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Rome is a very big city, you can find here whatever you want and people are very friendly!

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

We have different public universities, the biggest one in La Sapienza, it is situated near the centre and near the university district, San Lorenzo.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

Some things are expensive, some other are cheap:

  • Expensive: Rent an apartment, alchool (the average price for a beer is 5-6 €), some discotec (it depends from what kind of party dio you enjoy! ).
  • Cheap: Public transport (but not so efficient), food food food! Especially you can find a lot of good and healthy food (not fast food or fat, but pizza fruit vegetables). Average price for a coffee: 0, 80 €, for lunch with pizza 4 €, or 10-15 € if yo eat in a restaurant.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rome? Is there any advice you can give?

It is only expensive but not difficult. Roma is a big city! I think the best place where you could find an apartment are: San Lorenzo (but it could be a bit noisy during the night), Tiburtina, Monti tiburtini, San Giovanni, Piazza Bologna.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Everything! Pasta, pizza, meat, vegetables.... food have a different taste in Italy!

What places would you recommend visiting in Rome?

Roma has a lot of interesting places it depends from your interests!

Is it good to eat out in Rome? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

"Il Gallo Rosso" (it is not my favourite but it is very typical! ), "Il Simeto" (small but very cheap and I think the best place where you can eat pasta), "Funny Burger".

Is the nightlife good in Rome? Where is good to go?

San Lorenzo, Trastevere, Monti, Campo dei fiori, Piazza Bologna, Ponte Milvio.
