Why did you choose to go to Rome, Italy?

Because it has the major I want to study. Also because Rome is famous with Vatican and with ancient architects like Colosseum and many other museums, cathedrals.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

No, I did not receive scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

It is a lot of fun, party and event all the time and there are many cultural exchange events like International Dinner, Eat and Speak (each one's own language), Welcome international students party, Marino Wine festival, Perugia chocolate festival, Food truck festival and Erasmus parties all the time.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rome to other students?

Yes, I would recommend for those who want to experience the culture, but I would also suggest you consider the environment (it's not very clean), the traffic and English here is not very popular with everyone.

What is the food like?

Generally good, but quite expensive. Gelato is extremely fantastic. I am addicted to Gelato now.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rome?

No, the University offer this service free of charge for students.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

It costs around 500Eur for eating and renting house in Rome for one who live in double room. The cost will be higher if the accommodation is in Rome center or if it is single room, let's say around 600-700Eur for eating and renting house. If you are party-lovers, you should add more expense

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

No, not really, but you can use body language and Google translate :)
And the University also offers Italian course around 5 weeks for International students.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rome from your city?

By air from Ho Chi Minh city to Rome, no other way :)

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rome?

Spagna, Trastavere or bars

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rome?

Zen sushi garden serves both Italian and Asian food with reasonable price.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

St.Peter Cathedral, Vatican, Colosseum, Spagna and many other museums.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rome in the future?

I suggest you should consider what you really want to get when choosing to come to Rome so that you will not get dissappointed.
