Why did you choose to go to Rome, Italy?

In order to study.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I've been studying for 3 years now... prices and tuition vary according to university/school, just like anywhere else.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

Students are very outgoing. Many take their future seriously but have good time management skills, while those in less rigorous schools have more time to enjoy themselves. So overall, everyone has free time to go out with friends/family to shop, watch a movie, eat at a restaurant or simply walk.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rome to other students?

Yes. It's absolutely amazing here and more International students are always warmly welcomed.

What is the food like?

What is the food like in Italy? - The best!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rome?

Not really but it took quite some time.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

The center of Rome is quite expensive, especially the areas closer to Vatican. However, small apartments a bit further from center are affordable.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It's not as simple as English but if you communicate in Italian on daily basis its easy to get a grip of it. There should be language courses available but I'm not 100% sure.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rome from your city?

I live in Rome. Here its easier to travel by public transport.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rome?

Yes, absolutely!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rome?

Too many to list! Many of them are great.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I'm sure that everyone is familiar with famous palaces and ancient ruins, the catacombs and churches but they are stunning and no matter how generic they sound - it's worth it!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rome in the future?

Enjoy your life to the foolest. And doing it in Rome isn't the worst idea:)
