Why did you choose to go to Rethymno, Greece?

Because I wanted to explore this unknow country for me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Im here for 5 months and I received 1600€ but Im not sure.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rethymno?

It s absolutely perfect !

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rethymno to other students?

University is really good ! I like it so much ! Teachers are very friendly and helpfull. City is beautiful but quiet expensive...

What is the food like?

Food is really good... Actually Im in love with greek salad and greek honey joghurt.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rethymno?

It s dificult to find accomodation here. And it s soooo dificult find a good accomodation here. We are 3 girls in 2 bedroom flat without equipment here, and we are paying 110€ without bills (60€). Almost everybody here is paying cca 200€ per month.

How much does it cost to live in Rethymno?

So much. Live in Rethymno is really expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes we have Greek course. It s absolutelly perfect!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rethymno from your city?

From my city is the best way to travel to Rethymno ... first travel to Poland - Katowice from Katowice there is direct fly by Ryanair (cca 100€) to Chania and than by bus to Rethymno.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rethymno?

Ice club , Minibar, Fortezza, Rakodikeio, Bakalogatos... ect

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rethymno?

Restaurant Zísis you can go there by bus NO.10 last stop. and 300 meters by food. It s absolutelly delicious cheap and perfect quality !

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Knosos Palace, Fortezza, Arkadi monastery, ect

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rethymno in the future?

IF you visit rethymno let s go to Cretaquarium, Balos, Preveli, Oil factory near Melinodi Cave, Cournas lake, Arkadi monastery, Fortezza, Stefi beach.... ect
