What is it like to live in Nis? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I like living in this city, where ever you live it takes you max 15 minutes(by bus or bike) to the city center, and that is if you live in the periphery of the city. In my opinion, it is not too big and not too small. You have everything you need, from medical care, to parks, to places where you can take a walk, food everywhere, schools.. It is a nice city to live in.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nis?

Well, I am finishing Art (high)school so i can tell from that perspective, but I also know a lot of university students that aren't complaining. Like I said, you have a lot of places where you can go out, night life is good, prices are normal, you have lots of places to eat. One student can manage quite well here.

How much does it cost to live in Nis?

Well, i don't know precisely, but like I said, I think the prices are normal.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nis? Is there any advice you can give?

Nothing is difficult if you really want it, so just type accommodation in Nis and you will manage.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Well you have a lot of pastry shops, also fast food shops, but you have restaurants, one chinese restaurant(we don't have many other culture restaurants here), also a lot of tasty fruits and vegetables that's for sure.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nis?

Fortress of Nis, Skull tower, Niska Banja, Bubanj, Cegar, Kamenicki vis... and many more places near Nis

Is it good to eat out in Nis? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

When it comes to fast food i love Cesar shops, then some cafe restaurants like Pleasure cafe

Is the nightlife good in Nis? Where is good to go?

It is, it is always fun, depends which music you like but i recommend club Vavilon, Mirror cafe, House cafe, Clinika, Scena..

What advice would you give future students heading to Nis?

Don't worry, you will always find someone to help you. A lot of young people speak English understandable and well so you can always ask someone, and also, you are safe in the city, rumors about being dangerous on the streets at night are just rumors.
