Why did you choose to go to Nice, France?

Basically, I chose to go to France, Nice was just due to the procedure of Campus France, the other universities at Lile and Paris took so long to reply so I was obliged to go to Nice.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I'm not European, so I don't have the right to a scholarship.

I followed the procedure of Campus France, which means that as long as I'm studying, I can stay there.

Living here is expensive, so the solutions are to bring money with you for the whole year, or find a job which is not hard for the europeans, or apply for a scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nice?

It's always active, we have our private parties in and outside the residences.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nice to other students?

Yes, sure. The education level is very high.

What is the food like?

Since it is a touristic city, you can find all types of food: Indian, Spanish, Chinese... And obviously, fast food chains such as Quick, KFC, Macdonald's...

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nice?

Yes, very much.

How much does it cost to live in Nice?

It depends on your rent. Studios are usually from 450 and up, you can find a room from 350 and up. Residences vary from 237 (room with just bathroom, no WC nor kitchen) and up. But there is CAF, they help students to pay their rent. For a studio of 450 they will pay you about 170, for a room of 237 they will pay you 93.

For the food it depends on what you eat.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I am personally struggling with the language. I did not ask about the programs but I think there is a French programe for the foreign students.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nice from your city?

By boat or by plane at the new years period.
