What is it like to live in Milan? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is one of the biggest city in Italy. I would recommend it since you can have a lot of fun as a student.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

It depends on the university you have choosen, I guess. Anyway, there are tons of funny events and you can easily reach any part of the city at anytime of the day.

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

It depends on your lifestyle. There are a lot of cheap place to drink something in Colonne di San Lorenzo and it is plenty of disco pub; some of them do not even ask money to enter.
Regarding the supemarket, there are some more convenient than others, you have just to find the one that suits you the best! I suggest, from my esxperience, Unes, Pam & Esselunga (best quality/price)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Milan? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult, but i have noticed in the last year an increase of the rent in all the area. Probably it is better if you plan to stay one week at least looking for an accomadation! Anyway there are a lot of Facebook group you can check and websites like subito, Bakeca and more.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I didn't appreciate too much the typical Milano's food, but the city is a multietnic one, so you can easily find any kind of dish! Aperitivo offers you all kind of food, with a moderate cost and a good quality (it depends on the bar).

What places would you recommend visiting in Milan?

There are tons of place you can visit. It would be too long to write it, but you can easily find a guide published on Internet.

Is it good to eat out in Milan? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Sure it is, still it depends on what you're looking for! I really suggest to try Aperitivo, but there are also places you can taste any kind of dish from all around the world! The choice is up to you.

Is the nightlife good in Milan? Where is good to go?

There all kind of clubs, you can even enjoy yourself by just taking a beer in Colonne, along the Darsena or in some peculiar beer producers (Birrifici).

What advice would you give future students heading to Milan?

Enjoy all the events the city offers you! It is worthy
