Why did you choose to go to Milan, Italy?

It was my dream to go to Milan and study in there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I can say that 1000 euro it will be enough for living. Because prices are really high. Monthly 350 or 400 euro just for food, in addition you will pay for rent (the price depends on your house choice), and transportation, and 200 euro your pocket money.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Milan to other students?

Milano is a really quiet city. The most of shops are closing between 7:30pm or 8 pm during the weekdays but weekend it can be 9pm or 10pm .Milano is like a circle if you see on the map (you can find almost everything and it is a busiest side of city) but when you go out of the circle it will be quiet. But for the university it depends on your choice. I recommend you it is better that when you choose your university find some of their student and ask them (you can easily find the university in Facebook and the student of that university too).

What is the food like?

Italian foods are known by everyone i think :). Foods are really good and you can fined other cuisine too. But you should know the places because you just can see italian restaurant around your self but other cuisines can find in alley.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Milan?

Milano it is really expensive for accommodation. Because i also try to fined good and clean apartment and with good price but i could not.I arrived middle of the first semester and it was really hard to find good accommodation. They just showed us 1 bedroom apartment i can say with tiny kitchen and small bathroom and it was 700 euro -_- .we were surprised.and then we saw more than 5 apartment and most of them it was like that too. But my big problem was that i did not know the city. I try to find apartment on internet and i just try to find it on the map too, Because i wanted near the Duomo (centre) but most of the house show up far from there thats why i ignored most of them.but when i arrived here i saw that it is not like that.by walking for example from Sant agostino to Duomo it will take 30mn.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes it is easy to learn, Because in Milano they don't know english language and thats why you have to improve your language otherwise living in here it will be difficult. You can find language courses in your university too or if you ask they will probably suggest you.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Milan in the future?

Firstly always keep your eyes on your bag and mobile, even don't put your mobile on the table. They can easily rob.I think it is better to learn italian language before you arrive here because people don't know english language, it is really hard to explain what you want. knowing the language it will help you to find better accommodation or in shopping, bank, market, transportation. In addition before you come to Milano read about the city (the life style, prices, safe places). And by the way don't book your place before you arrive because it is better see the apartment before you pay the rent , Because most of the italian houses are old and it can smell bad, or you can have hot water problem, etc)
