Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

For architecture experience reasons.
And to see something else than Marseille.
To go to an unknown country learning an unknown language.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

some work on the day and parties all the nights specially the week-end.
The different Erasmus associations are really good to entertain and to provide events and parties everytime.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

yes

What is the food like?

A lot of fish, sea food, some meat.
A lot of wine and beer.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

Yes, you have to manage that really early, 2 months before to get a good flat.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Food is cheap
Parties are cheap
around 340€ of rent for a good flatshare.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

the teachers are fluent in a lot of languages.
the university often provide some intensive portuguese learning language class.
this tongue is difficult daily on street, sometimes difficult to understand, but almost all the young speak english.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

By plane, with a low cost company.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Bairro Alto streets or Martim Moniz bars, and then Cais do Sodré to go to a clubalong the tage river.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

some untouristic restaurants in bairro alto or Alfama!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Belem neighbourhood, bairro alto, castelo Saint george, Parque of Nacioes!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Don't be afraid to wait a lot everywhere, a lot of queue for administrative stuff (transport card...), take a WTF sim card to get a portuguese number
