Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

I chose Lisbon because I had the opportunity to study and work in a great university, but especially because it's a beautiful city, quite cheap, crowded by students and young people.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I'm staying in Lisbon for three months and a half and I receive 430€/month.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

I'm studying in the IST and yes, obviously I recommend it.

What is the food like?

Since I'm italian I can say that the food is pretty good. Here you can find a lot of good fish dishes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

I checked a lot of online advertisement and I was able to find a good accommodation before leaving, but I recommend to rely on bigger websites only.
Otherwise one can stay in a hostel the first days and schedule visits to different apartments.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Life in Lisbon is quite cheap. It's possible to find a room from 200€ to 350€ depending on the zone and the apartment.
A meal in the canteen costs from 2.50€ to 5.00€, while in some restaurants from 8€ to 15€.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

I took a train to get to Rome and then a flight to Lisbon.
