What do you mean? CROUS is the name of the company which manages the residences subject... Thanks for the link, i didn't notice it!

Does anyone know what are the steps that we must follow in order to get a room at a residence for the next academic year, ie, from the  beginnings of September 2012 ahead?

Hi there! I am Klaudia and I am going to Lille (Universite Lille1 Sciences et Technologies), from autumn 2012. are u goin to live in dormitory, or maybe it is worth to think about renting an apartament for one semester (seems to be cheaper). Let's share with your doubts and opinions! ;-)

I have another question- what do you know about-- taxe d’habitation ? My friend was in Lille in last semester, and she had to pay about 600 euors for this taxe. I found something in Polish web-forum that all people who rent a flat and was living in it at first January are obligated to pay it.

Maybe you have more information about it.

Never heard about that "taxe d'habitation" but sounds as it's only for renting flats???

I found the following:

Les locaux soumis à la taxe d'habitation sont :

• les locaux meublés affectés à l'habitation et leurs dépendances immédiates : chambres de service, garages... situés à moins d'1 km de votre habitation ;
• les locaux meublés à usage privatif des sociétés qui ne sont pas soumis à la taxe professionnelle.

Les locaux exonérés sont :

• les bâtiments servant aux exploitations rurales ;
• les résidences universitaires gérées par les CROUS ;
• les chambres d'hôtes et gîtes ruraux situés en zones de revitalisation rurale. Cette dernière exonération est soumise à la délibération des communes, après demande de votre part.

Hello,

I'm a French Student, I'll be coming back from Germany in September and thinking about sharing my flat with an Erasmus Student !

Somebody motivated ? I've already studied 2 years in Lille, speak English, German (also some rests of portuguese), but I'll also be very glad to help you in French.
I am already looking for some flats, so let me know if you could be interested ! (it would be great that you're staying at least 2 semesters in Lille)

I'm studying in Lille 3 from '12-'13.

I was wondering does anybody know whih of the university residences are the nicest because I can't really find pictures of them online.
