Yes I do recommend Leipzig, it's a diverse City. The city center is amazing, especially at night. There are a lot of street musicians and street artists.

The living expenses are cheaper than in any other city in Germany.

Firstly, you need to apply online (Studentenwerk) for student dorms.

If you don't like to stay in a dorm then you should look up in wg-gesucht.com, a website for apartment rentals.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are so many kind of restaurants: Chinese, Indian, Arabic, Turkish, Italian, etc.

If you are a student you can have lunch in the Mensa (cafeteria), it's cheaper.
