Morskie Oko (Restaurant)

Morskie Oko, litterally "the eye of the sea" is located in the old town, on Plac Szczypanski. Morskie Oko is the very famous Polish lake located in the Tatras Mountains next to Zakopane, so expect to eat here traditional cuisine from the mountains!

You will be able to taste the traditional soup "zurek", the gratinated cheese from the mountains (Oscypek) and many other traditional Polish dishes. I went only once there with friends visiting who wanted to taste something typically Polish. I enjoyed it and despite my ferocious appetite I was not able to finish my plate... A bit more expensive than average I would say also but as mentioned, you won't complain about low quantities here!

You can just go there for a drink also or if you feel like it improvise a dance in the middle of the different rooms as you will have you head banging with traditional Polish music long minutes after you get out. At least you feel definitely in Poland! :) last thing worth mentioning : the decor which is just... humm.. typical! I use this word a lot in these few lines but this is really the word that perfectly fits this place.
