Hello lovely people!

Don't lose the opportunity to enjoy Krakow if you go to Poland. I can only tell good things about the place.

I had a misconception of what was going to be Poland like, as it is a conservative and catholic country. The Polish people I met there were open-minded, talkative and funny. I can understand it because the place is a very touristic destination. When I first saw the main square (the biggest in Europe), I was fascinated with the architecture: stunning façaces full of history behind the walls.

Even as the student that I am with a limited income (grants, mum's monthly pay, and some short-term works), I felt rich in that place. Food was so cheap I could eat and invite people. Everything was tasty and in big quantity (necessary as the weather there was freezing cold).

Regarding the weather... I'll be honest: I wore thermic clothes under the big coat and I still felt cold. The thing is that I'm not used to such climate (I enjoy tropical temperatures during the whole year) and that was a torture for me. But the venues were prepared with heating and that wasn't a problem anymore. You were constantly taking off/putting on!

Without any kind of doubt, I recommend you to take part in "FreeTours" as the tourist guides are hilarious and they speak 3 languages (you have tours both in English and Spanish). At the end of the tour they'll ask for some well-deserved coins.

Finally, the 2 hot places to visit are: Auschwitz and The Salt Mines. I don't need to explain anything about them, it's better to experience and feel what these two transmit to you.

In short, go, go, go! It's cheap, welcoming and food is tasty!
