Why did you choose to go to Joensuu, Finland?

Its a worldwide known university in forestry sciences

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

4 months with the living cost money of 680 euros per month

What is the student lifestyle like in Joensuu?

Quite good however, sometimes can be lonely but if you get friends its intresting as you learn finish culture

Would you recommend the city and the University of Joensuu to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

At first it was quite challenging to get the type of food you want but after learning little finish i found the food quite delicious

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Joensuu?

At first i lived in a hotel quite expensive for one month but after i got an apartment. However, the grant I received took care of it.

How much does it cost to live in Joensuu?

hotel expences took 405 euros while the apartment was shared by three students 205 euros

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is quite difficult but i managed to learn few important words.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Joensuu from your city?

Bicycle.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Joensuu?

The free church on Fridays

The city meuseum at Carelicum builing and also try out the sauna

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Joensuu in the future?

If you are coming in winter, carry heavy clothes. If you can't, look for second hand shops; they are quite economical.
