What is it like to live in Esmirna? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

İzmir is great city, really great. İzmir is place to see before you die, the city is seaside city, and we have really nice, friendly people, and the weather is really cool, you can go to swim like April, or May.

What is the student lifestyle like in Esmirna?

The student lifestyle is in İzmir, we have a lot of to do, a lot of places to fun, see, and entertainment.

How much does it cost to live in Esmirna?

Around 500 euro is enough for the living.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Esmirna? Is there any advice you can give?

Not so hard to find a place in İzmir because of so many Erasmus students coming to the city and they find easily some room or house, because İzmir is a student city.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Turkısh food is really tasty, really, I assure you, I have a lot of favourite dishes, like "yaprak sarma, karnıyarık". I don't know we really have a big cuisine. If you are curious about it you should write down in Google "türk mutfagı".

What places would you recommend visiting in Esmirna?

You can go to Ephesus (touristic place), Şirince (really nice town with a lot of different wine), Kemeraltı (Big bazaar), Çeşme, Eski Foça, Urla, I can tell more and more.

Is it good to eat out in Esmirna? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it's not so expensive to eat outside, of course it's change but it's average usually.

Is the nightlife good in Esmirna? Where is good to go?

Really good. You can go to Alsancak for clubs, or you can sit Kordon, so much cafe in there, drink a beer across to the sea. So far, you can go to Bostanlı... So many places I can tell you.

What advice would you give future students heading to Esmirna?

I'm sure you should see my city.
