Why did you choose to go to Granada, Spain?

I chose Granada because I've always wanted to visit such a beautiful country like Spain. When I found out about Erasmus+ I was sure that Granada is the place for me even though I have never been there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is 2500 euros for the whole 5 months. I haven't thought how much money are my living costs simply because 500 euros per month are more than enough to live in Granada. I guess it is different for every person actually.

What is the student lifestyle like in Granada?

It is awesome! Granada is full of tapas bars, restaurants, discos, anything you want. On my personal opinion the city revels its real beauty in the night when everything is lighting. Streets are full of people. I'm here for 2 months and I've already met so many young people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Granada to other students?

Of course! Like I said the city is amazing. I find new things every day! Recently I found this great place where is sold real Italian ice-cream! In the heat that is coming I guess this will be the most visited place. About the university I can say only good things because teachers here know exactly how to grab my attention. I go to lectures with great pleasure. The system here is way more different than the one in my country so it's quite interesting for me to attend classes.

What is the food like?

Well, there are some dishes that I love and other that I can't even taste. I love tortilla and paella. These are the first things I've tried here. Sea food is really famous here, but I don't really like it. For now I stick to the things I've tried before.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Granada?

Not at all. I had already rented a flat when I came here. For me it's the easiest way rather than trying to find something after you come.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

Here everything is so cheap. Food, clothes, even flats. You can eat for 5 euros a day (of course if you eat at home). If you go out on a restaurant and disco 2-3 times a week your money may not be enough.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I already know words and expressions in Spanish. It really depends. If you have Spanish friends you won't need a course. I live with a Spanish girl and understand most of the things she is talking about because I see her every day. But if you want to enrol on a course there are many in the university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Granada from your city?

I traveled to Madrid by plane and then to Granada by bus, but I think it's better to travel by plane to Malaga and then to Granada by bus because it's closer. Remember that on Sunday nothing works so it's better to travel other day because when I arrived in Madrid it was Sunday evening and there were no buses from the airport.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Granada?

I still can't remember the name of every place here but down in the center there are plenty of places where you can eat and have fun.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Granada?

Most of the international students come here to try tapas. They are really famous because I think only Granada has tapas bars. About the restaurants I think that all of them are quite good so as soon as you come you can try to find the one that you like the most!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

On the first place Alhambra. Isn't it funny that I live here and still haven't seen it. Anyway, Albaizin is also a great place to be seen. It is an old neighborhood with a lot of sightseeing. Also there are cathedrals and ancient buildings which are really amazing.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Granada in the future?

Just one... Enjoy your stay in Granada, try to make the best memories ever because here times flies and before you realize you will be preparing your luggage on the way back home!
