Why did you choose to go to Girona, Spain?

because of the weather and people:)

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The Erasmus program is till End of January but I will stay longer. Unfortunately just 250€ per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Girona?

It's very nice here. I'm always on my way. In the evening you can go to a bar and have a drink or on the weekend to a club. Here are a lot of cultural events...so it never gets boring.;)
On the weekend you can either go to the beach or hiking. We also can rent a bike from the uni for free in the week and we can use a pool for free. Girona has a lot to offer.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Girona to other students?

Definitely yes!!:) Girona is really nice. The uni is sometimes unorganized but that's Spain.;)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Girona?

Noo but it is extremely difficult to find a accommodation here!! And the accommodations which are offered by the uni are extremely expensive, so search better online!!;)

How much does it cost to live in Girona?

all in all around 300€-350€. Depends what you are doing. The accommodation is around 250€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

We get free Catalan courses offered by the uni. However, I'm not so into Catalan. I like Spanish more. If you study tourism, you will get a free Spanish course as well.
It is recommendable to know either Spanish or Catalan. The most people here don't talk English or just a bit, but they can understand Spanish and actually also talk..just some people don't want.;)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Girona from your city?

Ryanair

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Girona?

Mundo at the weekends, Blow on Thursday

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Girona?

König is cheap and good. The patatas bravas are awesome!!:)

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

In Girona go along the wall it's soo nice. And also explore the Costa Brava and small cities around Girona. It's very nice!!
