Eat and dance at Massimo's !

Massimo's is what you can call a late bar, which means it closes later than some pubs in town (the latest closing time in Ireland being 2. 30AM! Better to start partying early... )

Most of late bars have little dancefloors, and if you're not a fan of big clubs, the atmosphere there is much more relax, people come as they are (which often means not in overwhelming high heels, fancy dresses... ). I like this place also because it is not a "student bar", you have all ages mixed (don't worry, it's not a grand-dad bar, the average age must be around 30! )

It is located in William Street (close to the city center and shop street), which is a street full of cool bars to spend the night (and snack shops, always nice! )

I used to go there on Saturday night, but I recently discovered it was a restaurant during the day, and they set up a cosy atmosphere. You can also privatise an area for your parties like birthdays! In the evening, they also propose meat and cheese platters and tapas, which sounds awesome (I haven't tried yet, but I surely will! )

In the evening, from Friday to Saturday, you can enjoy a more festive atmosphere, dining tables are pushed aside to give way to dancing! Live music is played on Fridays, at 7. 30PM. They also have a (heated) smoking area in the backyard.

I go to Massimo's (almost every weekend) for the cheerful, user-friendly atmosphere and the GOOD MUSIC! Of course it depends on your tastes, but Massimo's DJs are always great at playing nice dancing music, often 80s tunes, funky, pop, disco, hip hop songs. What is great is to see everyone dancing and singing on these songs that we all know and love!
