What is it like to live in Eindhoven? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Eindhoven city is fine to live for a while. It is a fairly "easy" city. Most important things are very close to each other (center within 10 minutes walk from one side to the other where you have all shops, restaurants and nightlife) and there are a lot of opportunities to hang out.

What is the student lifestyle like in Eindhoven?

Student lifestyle is very reachable. There are a lot of student associations that you can easily connect with and there are associations for all interests. The municipalites are also putting more effort in making Eindhoven a student city so it is coming!

How much does it cost to live in Eindhoven?

Compared to other big cities in the Netherlands it is reasonably affordable. Rooms are cheap compared to other cities (up to 400 € per month) and for a beer you pay about 2, 30 €. I think it is more expensive in most cities.

Is it good to eat out in Eindhoven? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is very easy to eat out in Eindhoven. There are a lot of places with different styles and price catagories. Also, they are very close to each other (there's one street with a lot of restaurants, for example) and easy to find.

Is the nightlife good in Eindhoven? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is decent in Eindhoven. There is one street with approximately 50 bars and that is pretty much the nightlife. At the student nights (Thursday) there are a lot of students in this street. Unfortunately, the entire street closes at 2 o'clock on Thursdays. There is one bar ("De Ballenbak"), which is a student only bar that is open on Thursdays till late at night (they only let you in till 1:45am, but it stays open for the people inside till whenever the last people go). It is really focussed on students and it's very nice (and beer costs 1, 25 €!).
