What is it like to live in Cordoba? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's quite nice for students and young people to live here since you have many things to do: outdoor sports, travelling and sightseeing, city activities (such as shopping malls, cinemas, bar, etc).

What is the student lifestyle like in Cordoba?

Maybe the best of Argentina, because all universities are together and there is a so-called "university city". Students tend to flock together and there are many events for especially thought for students. Also all the buses are for free for students, teachers and workers in the education field.

How much does it cost to live in Cordoba?

I think it's not one of the most expensive cities, I would say regular prices.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cordoba? Is there any advice you can give?

I don't know much about this but I think that it's the same as other cities. It's not particularly difficult but you need either a guarantee of other property or extra money to pay for this guarantee (There are banks and companies providing it).

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There's one thing that you have in Córdoba that you hardly ever find in other cities: "Criollitos" it's a kind of salty bun or a puff pastry; they're in every bakery and they're quite cheap. Also you have good asado (kind of barbacue), choripan (kind of sausage -actually chorizo- sandwich), lomitos (meat sandwich) and the traditional beverage it's fernet and coke.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cordoba?

San Marcos Sierras. It's a nice little village in the middle of the Cordoba mountains. There's a really good vibe and really nice landscapes. I stayed in this little Bed and Breakfast "Las Hortensias" which I really recommend. They treated me exceptionally well, the breakfast was delicious (I mean it, amazing! ) and apart from all that it was really cheap! I can't ask for more. They were preparing to open a tea house there soon.

Is it good to eat out in Cordoba? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's really good but I don't know any place in particular. The downtown area offers really good bars.

Is the nightlife good in Cordoba? Where is good to go?

Yes, it's nice. Not very experienced in this field anyways.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cordoba?

Try to visit all the mountain little villages, they're gorgeous (but avoid some, such as Saldan, La Calera, etc) Don't buy the lie that on Mount Uritorco in Capilla del Monte there's alien life and another tales... That's just a show for tourists!
