What is it like to live in Brussels? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in brussels is really great but it depends where your appartements is. So, I would recommend it of course, but be careful to the place where you'll live. There is a lot of transport but a lot less during the night and if you're a person who likes to go out it's not easy if you're not close to a station. To describe the city, i would say that this is a beautiful city with a city center with a lot of bars, disco..

What is the student lifestyle like in Brussels?

Again, it depends where you're. But generally, people like to got out, drink some beers, dance at the club, eat..

How much does it cost to live in Brussels?

To be honest, it's very expensive. For exemple : one bottle of water (1L) in a restaurant cost 6€.
And the rent for an appartement is generally between 350 and 700€. it's very rare to find a room for 350..

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Brussels? Is there any advice you can give?

When you're not in the country, i would say yes. My advice would be to go to the website to your university.. there is always one rubric for the foreigners who looks after a room.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is varied. But the specialty are the french fries of course. My favoriste dishes is the mexican food, so I go to the restaurant The Chichi's.

What places would you recommend visiting in Brussels?

Manneken pis.

Is it good to eat out in Brussels? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes of course, I like to go to the San tucci in Woluwe, or Boston steak house in waterloo

Is the nightlife good in Brussels? Where is good to go?

Yes, personnaly I love to go in the student party. It's some party organized by the student. We call it "TD"

What advice would you give future students heading to Brussels?
